Day Pass for Sunday April 13, 2025. Two great programmes for one price. Discounted Senior (65yrs+) & Youth (25yrs & under)
1st Programme: 1:30pm* Action-Adventure-DESTRUCTION! The famous Johnstown Flood 1926 rips through the screen with breathtaking action. Starring George O’Brien and Janet Gaynor (they’ll team up again in a couple of years for the renowned Sunrise), The Johnstown Flood depicts the lead up and destructive events of the Johnstown Flood of 1889 caused by the catastrophic failure of the South Fork Dam in Pennsylvania. Its rupture released over 14 million cubic meters of water-rivalling that of the Mississippi River, killing 2,208 people. Plus short films
Live accompaniment: tba
2nd Programme: 4pm Laffs in the Aft (formly 1000 Laffs) Comedy programmer Chris Seguin calls this “the laugh attack of the straw boaters!” We call it comedy gold! Cartoons, Stan Laurel follows his woman no matter what in Man About Town, Charley Chase tries to convince his boss he HAS to have a raise in the newly restored Assistant Wives, and Harold Lloyd in the comedy thriller For Heaven’s Sake. It’s a great fun way to finish the weekend.
Live accompaniment: Jordan Klapman
