HOSTS

Boo Rigney plays acoustic guitar and mandolin enjoys singing everything from Joni Mitchell to bluegrass and folk standards. She also can be found singing jazz tunes frequently at Melvyn’s in downtown Palm Springs. Favorite thing? Vocal harmony!

Josh Winget has been playing music ever since he can remember, starting out playing brass in school bands, but his love for music exploded when he heard the Beatles at 7 years old. He’s been playing guitar and bass since 13 years old, played in many bands through college, ranging in styles from rock to pop to jazz, folk, and blues.

4.6, Nick & Rosie and The Dusty Strings Band

Nick & Rosie are a Country and Western Duo based in La Verne California. Performing standards from the Golden Age of Country Music and influenced by the beauty of the Southwest. They create an atmosphere that “pays homage to influences of the past while, at the same time, creating music that is incredibly fresh.”

The Dusty Strings Band is made up of Bobby Furgo on fiddle, Steve Lester singing plus playing guitar or bass and Boo Rigney on mandolin, guitar and vocals.

Sun, 4.27 Jasmine & Lorenzo and The Nathan James Trio

Jasmine and Lorenzo are both originally from Rome, Italy, Jasmine and Lorenzo perform re-arranged standards and originals with a unique approach – a combination of Italian Jazz & West Coast Soul.

Nathan James is a true original American roots music artist who makes a lot of sound pickin’ and scratchin’ on his handmade invention of washboard guitar; stomping out time on a box made of old fence boards; all while singing and blowing harmonica to his own original music. But aside from all of these tools of the trade, his main focus is well crafted songwriting and his artistry is far from just a live show gimmick.

Sun, 5.4 Rick Shelley and The Dusty Strings Band

Rick Shelley is a singer-songwriter who emerged into the Southern California music scene in 2015. A richly evocative storyteller, his songs employ an economy of language that recall Texas troubadours like Robert Earl Keen and Guy Clark. He shares his hard-won wisdom with pathos, humor and grace. Every narrative accompanied by indelible melodies and killer hooks.
