Don’t miss this upcoming event in Hattiesburg, MS. Happening on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Marsh Hall – Fine Arts Building (FAB). Doors open at 9:00 AM.
The oboe, clarinet, saxophone, and bassoon studios join forces for a fun-filled day devoted to reed instruments. This event will feature USM faculty members Dr. Pablo Hernandez, Dr. Jackie McIlwain, Dr. Dannel Espinoza, and Dr. Kim Woolly, and will include informative sessions, performances, vendors, and a final ensemble concert for all attendees.
Do I need to bring a lunch?
No! A pizza lunch will be provided.
Where is registration?
Registration will be form 9-10 am in the Intermezzo at Woods Gallery in the southwest corner of the Marsh Hall – Fine Arts Building on the USM Hattiesburg campus.
Do I bring my instrument?
Yes! We would love to make music with you!
Where do I park?

This event is designed for oboists, clarinetists, saxophonists, and bassoonists of all ages and experience levels. Please come ready to learn and play!

The tentative schedule is
9-10 registration and visit exhibits
10-10:45 USM faculty and student recital
10:45-11:30 exhibits
11:30-12:30 Fundamental classes
12:30 lunch
1:30-2:45 ensemble rehearsals
3-4 improvisation and Body Mapping classes
4:30-5:30 recital in MPAC
