ABOUT EAM:
The Epilepsy Association of The Maritimes (EAM) has been providing services and support for persons living with epilepsy, their families and communities for more than 40 years. We steadily connect, support, and educate people with epilepsy around the Maritimes. We continue to offer programming both virtually and in person. We host monthly support group meetings, education sessions at schools within our communities, and continue to offer patient navigation to individuals throughout the Maritime provinces. We offer the PACES program, which helps build skills for self-management and resilience for people living with epilepsy.
We are delighted to reconnect in person with all of you and look forward to gathering to celebrate the strength and optimism of people living with epilepsy and their families at the 2025 Purple Day Gala.
ABOUT PURPLE DAY:
Cassidy Megan, a member of the Epilepsy Association of the Maritimes, founded Purple Day in 2008. Motivated by her struggles with epilepsy, Cassidy’s goal is to get people talking about epilepsy in an effort to dispel myths, reduce stigma and let those living with epilepsy know that they are not alone.
