Niall McCabe is a folk singer, songwriter and instrumentalist from Clare Island off the coast of Mayo. With a critically acclaimed debut solo album on heavy rotation on Irish radio, McCabe’s natural, distinct voice is earning a growing and loyal fanbase on both sides of the Atlantic.

His evocative folk music is rooted in story and place, returning always to the melodic and lyrical texture of the remote island where he grew up. His distinctive vocal and uniquely developed guitar picking style herald an exciting, vibrant talent recognised by his audience, peers and contemporaries.

Niall’s McCabe’s debut ‘Rituals’ album was released in February 2023 to critical acclaim and featured as RTE Album of the Week, while the song Rituals topped the RTE Radio airplay charts for five consecutive weeks.

Niall also has extensive international touring experience as guest singer with Beoga, having opened for Ed Sheeran, Johnny Swim and more recently solo support for Chris Issak in the London Apollo, Mary Black in the Olympia Dublin and Galway, and last year with Sharon Shannon in The City Winery, New York. Has been special guest to The Transatlantic band across the UK with Nashville legend Jerry Douglas and all star lineup inc other special guests such as Julie Fowlis and Loudon Wainwright III.
