A throwback millennial club night (00-10s music) complete with C02 cannons from 5-10pm in the Lower East Side. 21+ legally. 30+ culturally.

We’re proud to announce Club Matinee, a millennial club night with an open format mix with all the hits from 00-10s, C02 cannons, & pizza included.

What To Expect

It’s a Matinée event, so you can expect to have a wild dance party that ends at 10pm surrounded by a beautiful crowd of seasoned aka Millennial(ish) party people. Also, pizza is included to keep you going all night.

For those that have been to a Matinee before, a few differences to note…

The Venue

For “Club Matinee” we’ll be in the Lower East Side at 205 Club. For those who haven’t been, it’s a dark intimate space prime for a wild night. It’s a single red-lit dancefloor with C02 cannons and bench seating around the perimeter but those are more for dancing on elevated surfaces than sitting.

The Music

“Club Matinee” is Matinee’s open format club banger night. Expect a mix of pop, hip-hop, & EDM ranging from the 90s to 2010s hits – aka what you were listening to in clubs back in our 20s – much of which will be from the beloved high-energy recession pop era. Inspo playlist.

The Dress Code

Per usual, nothing too strict, but vibes encouraged.

About Matinée

Love to party, but also love a good night’s rest? (Looking at you millennials )

With Matinée, you can have both.

It’s a “night time” dance party that lets you have a wild night out…and be home by 11pm.

The party starts at 5pm, peaks at 8, over at 10. Oh and we serve pizza around 7:30pm to give you a second wind.

The Matinée Mission

Nightlife pretty much only caters to 20 somethings. Matinée wants to change that.

We’re working to create a space where our fellow Millennials and beyond can step away from adult responsibilities and let loose for a while – creating memories with old friends and hopefully make some new ones.
