EXPERIENCE:

Take a trip to El Triunfo, a hidden town in the middle of the Sierra of Baja California Sur, and learn about the true history and endemic gastronomy of the peninsula. Get to know about the silver route and Vaquero (cowboy) living traditions.

Drive 45 minutes from La Paz to El Triunfo, an historic town in the middle of the Sierra. At your arrival, enjoy a “talega” coffee and authentic ranchero tasting. Talega is a characteristic way to prepare coffee. Have a taste of “burritos” and “quesabirrias,” as you learn about the life and gastronomy in the ranch.

After this tasteful introduction, enter the MUVACA (Museo del Vaquero de las Californias) to get a full picture about this Baja way of life. Take a short walk through the cobblestone streets as you head to the tallest mining vestiges in the silver route before you enter into the Museo Ruta de Plata (Silver Route Museum) to learn how El Triunfo used to be the most important commercial center of the peninsula because of silver exportation.

Finally, enjoy a special meal made with endemic ingredients and sustainable ways.
