EXPERIENCE:

Dive into the depths of history with our Wreck Dive trip to the Felipe Xicoténcatl (C-53) in Cozumel. This one-tank dive offers certified divers an extraordinary opportunity to explore a 600-ton mine sweeper from World War II, later acquired by the Mexican Navy and sunk in June 2000 to create an artificial reef.

Laying at a depth of 80 ft, the C-53 provides an intriguing underwater adventure where you can witness how marine life has transformed this historic vessel into a thriving reef. As you navigate through the wreck, you’ll encounter various marine species that now call this site home, offering a unique blend of history and marine biology.

Our experienced Divemaster will guide you through the dive, ensuring a safe and memorable experience. The exact dive site location will be determined by the Divemaster, based on where the divers are staying and current weather conditions. Please note that this dive requires participants to have completed at least two prior dives, ensuring that they are adequately prepared for the challenges of wreck diving.
