EXPERIENCE:
On a tour you will visit one of the most important Archaeological sites in the history of Oaxaca called Monte Alban, in this archaeological site the Zapotec culture flourished in pre-Hispanic times. This beautiful cultural attraction is located at the top of the mountain and is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After the tour of the Monte Alban Archaeological Zone, we will come into contact with a Zapotec family where we will learn about the process of making textiles using pre-Hispanic techniques. You will observe the different natural elements of plants or animals such as cochineal grain that are used to dye textiles, you will learn how they obtain the threads by hand to be able to make the textiles.
