EXPERIENCE:

At your scheduled time, check in at our office, located at an easy location in Canon City, CO. If you are on an afternoon trip, lunch is served before your tour, between 11am and 12:30 pm. Our friendly office staff will guide you through the process of where to go, and how to get ready for you experience. After gearing up, a life jacket will be professionally fitted to make sure it fits before heading to the river. One of your raft guides will call you onto the bus that will transport you to and from the river. The raft guides will unload the boats onto the shore, and give you a safety talk and paddle instruction before you get on the water.

Once you’re in the boat and heading down the Arkansas River, you will enjoy a short float where you can get to know your guide and practice your paddle strokes. Then the river narrows to only 25 feet wide and disappears into the 1100-foot gorge.
