In our time together we will walk through my family’s olive groves, learn about extra virgin olive oil, and taste locally made wines and cheeses, all in an idyllic country setting.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Delve into the wonders of olive oil and wine! We’ll meet at my family’s olive farm, take a stroll around the grove, and then sit down for an in depth tasting of our various oils and a selection of California wines. We will practice our sensory evaluation, decipher what extra virgin really means, and pair our oils with some snacks. Once we’ve oiled up our palates we’ll do the same with wine, moving through a flight of artisanal wines from producers throughout northern California. Finally, we’ll taste two locally made cheeses and talk about the food revolution that has been happening over the past few decades. This tasting should introduce you to some of the best that Northern California has to offer!
