Experience the cowboy way of life in the town of Bandera on a visit to a ranch. Meet the horses and longhorns, and learn about the ranch life and how to throw a rope.

EXPERIENCE:

Take a drive out to the old trailhead of the Great Western Trail and Cowboy Capital Bandera. Just outside the old town, visit a ranch where you can meet horses and longhorns, and see other critters.

At the 89-acre ranch, take in rescue horses that are up for rehabilitation and retraining, and see longhorn cattle. Have the opportunity for the young ones to go on a pony ride, and for all ages to take pictures with the horses.

Learn about the ranch life and how to throw a rope. Bring a picnic and enjoy it by the chuckwagon and cowboy camp. This activity is suitable for all ages.

Visit the town of Bandera, a typical small western town where everyone knows everyone. Enjoy taking your time to welcome visitors the friendly southern way. The town has several great restaurants, bars, shops, a museum, and of course the real cowboy spirit.
