Each choreographer driving exciting growth of the ballet art form. “Rhapsody in Blue” Choreography: Geoffrey Gonzalez (2021) Music: “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin (1924) “Ecliptic” Best Dance of 2024-San Diego Union-Tribune Choreography: Annabelle Lopez Ochoa (2019) Music: Ludovico Einaudi “The American” San Diego Premiere Choreography: Christopher Wheeldon (2002) Music: “String Quartet No.12 in F major, Op. 96″ by Antonín Dvorák (1893) PRE-PERFORMANCE LECTURE City Ballet of San Diego Artistic Director Steven Wistrich offers insights and perspectives into the program. The lecture begins 45 minutes prior to the performance.
