Honeymoon Suite, formed in 1982 by Johnnie Dee and Derry Grehan, quickly made waves with their hit ?New Girl Now,? which won Toronto?s Q107 Homegrown Contest and led to a deal with WEA Canada. Their self-titled debut went platinum, followed by more success with The Big Prize (1986), which included tours with Journey, ZZ Top, and Heart, a Juno Award win for Group of the Year, and an international following. Their third album, Racing After Midnight, took them to L.A. with Van Halen producer Ted Templeman and featured Michael McDonald on backing vocals. With Supporting Artists: The Kings.
