Now in its sixth edition, the State of Black Design Summit returns with Still Tippin’: Driving Forward Design and Culture, a celebration of creativity, resilience, and cultural power in motion. Hosted at the historic Prairie View A&M University, this year’s theme draws inspiration from Houston’s signature design swagger, where tradition and innovation collide in unforgettable ways.

This is a three-day experience that will spotlight how designers are pushing boundaries, telling stories, building futures, and transforming communities.

HOW DO WE DEFINE DESIGN?

We define design as anything artificial that augments or amplifies human existence. This includes but is not limited to UX, industrial, graphic, interior, product, fashion, and architectural design.

What to expect?

From keynote presentations and powerhouse panels to hands-on workshops, career fairs, and musical performances, this is more than a conference; it’s a cultural movement.

We’ve built a legacy of blending professional growth with cultural connection, creating space for designers to thrive, network, and reimagine the world through their lens.
