The Newcomer

The story follows a Korean immigrant in the U.S. who feels disconnected from her cultural roots as her homeland becomes increasingly modernized and westernized. She gradually rediscovers cultural pride by realizing that Korean culture itself is a blend of diverse influences, a perspective she embraces in New York City’s Koreatown.
