In classical ballets powerful story of love and betrayal the vulnerable Giselle falls for Albrecht – a betrothed man on the opposite side of the conflict tearing her community apart. Michael Pink reimagines this tragedy into the dark period of wartime 1940s asking powerful questions about the need for forgiveness and the transcendence of love amongst unimaginable horrors. Featuring the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra Giselle is presented in partnership with Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra and Violins of Hope.
