Referred to as a “musical power couple,” the music of composer-pianist ADEGOKE STEVE COLSON and composer-vocalist IQUA COLSON explores many facets of the human experience. Early AACM members, their acclaimed performances and recordings highlight social issues and have featured innovators like Reggie Workman, David Murray, Tyshawn Sorey, Joseph Jarman, Oliver Lake, Tomeka Reid, and Henry Threadgill, as well as master artists from other disciplines including Savion Glover, Amiri Baraka (LeRoi Jones), and Carmen de Lavallade.
