Chicago’s own Vox Venti opens it fourth concert season with Cosmos, focusing on outer space-“the spheres”- and all it represents in literal and metaphysical senses, featuring the world premier of Gabriel Jackson’s Sweet Melody Amidst the Moving Spheres and works by Melissa Dunphy, Eriks Esenvalds, Joanna Metcalf, Kile Smith, and others. Our guest conductor is Dr. Kirsten Hedegaard, currectly Director of Choral and Vocal Activities at Loyola University, and music director of the professional chamber choir Vox Madonna.
