Join us for the monthly Open Mic and Slam at the ArtsXchange.

This event is open to all, however there is no censorship and we do not allow hate speech of any kind. This event is a celebration of creativity, sharing and community. We start with the open mic and end with the slam. 

$10 in advance/ $15 at the door

Open Mic

Our open mic is open to all genres of art, poetry, comedy, storytelling, music or interpretive dance. We want to see and hear it all.

Poetry Slam

The poetry slam is three rounds all work must be original with no props or musical accompaniment.  Poems will be judged by audience members not associated with the performing poets. High and low scores are dropped and the highest scores will advance to the next round. $100 awaits the poet with the most points of the evening’s slam. It’s a winner-takes-all competition, so bring your A-game!
