Simultaneously, Mason Fitch’s Dis | Assembled debuts upstairs in the dungeon space at Notsuoh, presenting installation works that investigate self-determination through the appropriation and transformation of traditional objects. The Clockman series—four grandfather clocks—explores states of becoming and self-betrayal, ranging from absurd rejection of tradition to mirrored façades hiding poison, and thriving life built atop grief. Suspended, a floating disassembled mannequin pierced by shards of glass, captures a single frozen moment of tension, inviting viewers to question whether objects are collapsing or emerging.
Together, this evening offers a rare collision of contemporary visual art and immersive audio-visual performance.
