A Cozy Fall Cookie Decorating Class at Caboose Commons (Fairfax/Mosaic District)
Get ready to cozy up with cookies, coffee, and creativity at Sweater Weather Sweets — a fall-themed cookie decorating class perfect for beginners and budding bakers alike!
In this hands-on class, we’ll decorate six festive fall cookies in charming seasonal shapes:
- Sunflower
- Apple
- Corn
- Maple Leaf
- ☕ Coffee Mug
- Apple Pie
We’ll be working with four rich, autumn-inspired royal icing colors: yellow, brown, green, and red.
What to Expect:
We’ll kick things off with a quick and helpful presentation on the magic of royal icing — including all of my best tips and tricks to set you up for success. You’ll then complete a practice sheet to get comfortable before decorating your cookies.
Once we move to the main event — decorating! — you’ll learn how to:
- Outline and flood cookies like a pro
- Use one consistency of royal icing to create depth and dimension
- Master smooth finishes and sweet details
This small-group class allows for individual, one-on-one guidance to help build your confidence and skills.

- 6 pre-baked sugar cookies ready to decorate
- 4 pre-mixed royal icing colors
- Practice sheet
- Your own printed instruction packet, including cookie and icing recipes to take home
- All tools and materials provided — just bring yourself!

Not only is it a brewery, but it also has a full kitchen and coffee bar—so come hungry or grab a drink to sip while you decorate!
Please note, this class will be held on Caboose Commons’ 3rd floor, which is not wheelchair accessible.

Caboose has two parking lots but sometime they fill up fast. You can also park for free in the Market Garage across Eskridge Road.
