Take & Bake Carl’s Holiday Stuffing!

11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The holidays are just around the corner and to prepare we are bringing back a customer favorite Take n’ Bake, Carl’s Holiday Stuffing!

Join the founders of Torretta Fine Foods, Stephen Caruso and Joan Osman (née Caruso), for an afternoon of tasty fare and drinks while building your own personal Cornbread Stuffing featuring Carl’s Original Recipe Italian Sausage! The appetizers will showcase Carl’s in a fun and easily re-creatable fashion for your next culinary event, dinner party, or family meal.

Guests will make an individual-sized Carl’s Holiday Stuffing with homemade cornbread to take and bake at your leisure. A recipe card will be included for all guests with both the cornbread and stuffing recipes. You will have the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments including wine or a specialty cocktail as you assemble your take-home meal.

Then join a discussion with your hosts about how to tailor their recipes to your individual tastes or preferences and learn about the journey that led them to create a specialty food business. You will also enjoy exclusive, onsite access to the full product line of other unique pantry items from Torretta Fine Foods available for purchase during the program.

Each ticket includes appetizers featuring Carl’s, Take & Bake Cornbread Stuffing and refreshments.

About Stephen and Joan:

“We are Kansas City natives and the founders of Torretta Fine Foods, the home of Carl’s Original Recipe Italian Sausage. Our love of food and cooking was cultivated at a young age. We spent many weekends in the kitchen with family and friends sharing stories while we prepared for Sunday dinners. Recently, we found a recipe for “Caruso’s Restaurant Italian Sausage” in a collection of our dad’s cookbooks. We knew it must be our Grandpa, Carl Caruso’s, recipe from the small family restaurant he owned in the 1950’s.

After making one batch, we knew we wanted to share our family’s delicious recipes again using premium ingredients and local production. The name Torretta Fine Foods was inspired by the town in Sicily our family immigrated from many years ago. Carl’s Original Recipe Italian Sausage is, of course, named in honor of Grandpa Carl. Our mission is to bring people together to enjoy high quality, delicious food.”
