Ruben Ramirez is a Chicago based comedian and actor who is known for his blue & observational comedy. He’s performed on the Michael Colyar Morning Show , WGN TV and You can catch him on BET+ North of the 10 and Canal Street and on Amazon Prime & Tubi for other films. He’s opened up for touring comedians Martin Amini, Kevin Herrera, Martin Moreno, George Perez, Christian Johnson, Chingo Bling, Craig Conant, Ken Flores, Concrete, Jerry Garcia, Edwin San Juan, DoKnow and Josh Pray. He’s also Headlined the Qué Chiste Comedy Festival in Seattle, WA and was a performer at the World Comedy Expo as well as competing on Roast Battle where his latest battle reached over 2 million views, and he is also signed with Chicago’s top actors’ agency Hayes Talent. He was also nominated for Best Comedian at the 312 Music Awards in 2023. He has also collaborated with restaurant chains Los Comales and Buona Beef. You can catch him on all of his social media platforms performing skits as he portrays everyday situations in comedic light. His comedy will have you feeling that we aren’t so different after all regardless of upbringing.

Mercado on Fifth is a non-profit organization hosting vibrant outdoor events every Friday evening on 5th Avenue in Moline, along with year-round programming that uplifts the community.

Each week, guests can enjoy food trucks, produce and retail vendors, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. Mercado brings cultural performances from local musicians, dance groups, and artists, while also offering learning opportunities for children and resources from local nonprofits for adults.

At its heart, Mercado on Fifth strives to create economic opportunities for small and minority-owned businesses, while celebrating culture, building community pride, and welcoming people to the historic Floreciente neighborhood.
