An Evening with Gaetan Thiery – Guided Wine Tasting

Get ready for a truly special evening celebrating exceptional wines from around the world. We are honored to host a guided tasting led by Gaetan Thiery, a passionate wine professional with deep expertise in both vineyard work and fine wine sales.

Born in 1996 in Sancerre, France, Gaetan began his career in the vineyards of his home region, gaining hands-on experience at esteemed domaines including Domaine Vacheron, Domaine Serge Laloue, and Domaine André Neveu. In 2021, he transitioned to the sales side of the wine industry, managing a wine shop and later working as a sommelier in a fine dining restaurant.

In January 2024, Gaetan moved to the United States, joining a wine importer as Regional Sales Manager for the Midwest, representing brands such as Le Garenne and grower Champagne JM Gobillard. Recently relocating to Detroit, Michigan, Gaetan continues to share his passion and knowledge for wine with enthusiasts and professionals alike.

This event is a unique opportunity to taste exceptional wines and hear directly from a knowledgeable professional about the stories, techniques, and craftsmanship behind each bottle.

Parking: Due to limited spacing, we ask that you please do not park in the lot directly in front of Corkdorks’ store. Instead, you are welcome to park in either the lot beside the Corkdorks front lot, or in any open spot on the street. These parking options are free for attendees. Thank you for your cooperation.

All attendees will receive a $20 gift card to Corkdorks.

We do not charge a fee to attend or participate in any of our classroom events. However, because of the tremendous demand for our events, and because seating in our state-of-the-art classroom is limited, we charge a nominal prepaid reservation fee to hold your place in the classroom. The amount of the reservation fee varies depending on the size, duration, and content of the event, but is non-refundable if you are unable to attend the event for any reason. If you prepay the reservation fee and attend the event, you will receive a Gift Card in an amount equal to the prepaid reservation fee, which can be redeemed for cash any time after the event or used to purchase merchandise in the store.
