About East Branch Nature Preserve and the Catskill Water Discovery Center

Located along the East Branch of the Delaware River in Arkville, NY, the East Branch Nature Preserve is a newly opened, volunteer-run scenic refuge dedicated to conservation, public enjoyment and education – featuring peaceful trails, vibrant native habitat, and education about challenges to the ecological balance including invasive species and climate. A series of site specific art installations and public programs explores the region’s natural and cultural history. The East Branch Nature Nature is an anchor project of the Catskill Water Discovery Center whose mission is to educate people of all ages about the precious nature of, and threats to our planet’s most vital resource — pure water.
