The Cedar Ave Big Band brings a hard swinging and dynamic evening of music and entertainment with a variety of arrangements by the likes of Thad Jones, Sammy Nestico, Nelson Riddle, Adi Yeshaya, Quincy Jones and others. The ensemble is impressive and the soloists even more, including Clay Pufahl on tenor sax, Pete Enblom on Trombone, Dave Brittain on Tenor Saxophone and Mark Asche on piano. Powerhouse Vocalist Colleen Raye performs Sky Lark, Duke Ellington’s “I’m Gonna Go Fishing”, Gershwin’s “They All Laughed” arr. By Nelson Riddle and Cole Porter’s “Night and Day”.

The Cedar Ave Big Band has been renowned in the TC area for over 35 years. Originally under the musical direction of the Late Great Steve Devich, This 16 piece Kick Butt Big Band now has Mike Haynes at the helm. This Hard Swinging and and Vocalist Colleen Raye is a great addition and fit for this band’s talent. The many soloists in the band are absolutely outrageous and you’ll hear Hard Swiniin Arrangements played flawlessly as well as impressive standards and vocal features.
