Sam Adams Downtown Taproom Octoberfest at Sam Adams Downtown Boston Taproom – Boston, MA

Sam Adams Downtown Taproom Octoberfest at Sam Adams Downtown Boston Taproom – Boston, MA
Don’t miss this upcoming event in Boston, MA. Happening on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Sam Adams Downtown Boston Taproom. Doors open at 3:00 PM.
We’re honoring the centuries-long tradition with our annual Octoberfest Celebration! Originally held in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of the Crown Price of Bavaria, Oktoberfest has become a 16-day festival in Germany centered around Marzen-style beers. These lagers were traditionally brewed in March, lagered (or stored) in caves to keep cool through the summer, and then drank come fall. Marzens were the style of choice at the first Oktoberfest, sparking brewing inspiration for years after.
With fall upon us, that only means one thing, IT’S BEER SEASON! Our annual Octoberfest celebration will be taking at the Downtown Taproom from September 26th to the 28th

We’re excited to share our featured fest-style brews that we’ll be debuting:
BEER GARDEN PUMPERNICKLE DUNKEL / 5.5% ABV
This German-style Dunkel rests over cocoa nibs and a touch of pumpernickel for a rich, earthy depth of flavor that complements slight notes of chocolate. Ideal for the first chilly evenings of Autumn, this Dunkel showcases hearty, bready malt notes with a subtle rye-like complexity, all balanced by a crisp body and dry finish from Noble Hops.
BEER GARDEN FESTBIER / 5% ABV
Brewed in the tradition of a modern Munich festbier, this refreshing yet hearty pale lager uses heirloom pilsner and Munich malts as well as a famous German monastery’s lager yeast to create a clean, malty beer worthy of celebration.
