Cooking Up Health: The Mediterranean Way- Okaloosa County at Okaloosa County Extension Service – Crestview, FL

Sessions will feature hands-on cooking exercises and sample tastings, providing practical skills and delicious recipes to incorporate into your daily life.

Dates: This class series will be held on multiple dates, Mondays and Wednesdays, on September 15, 17, 22, 24, & October 6 and 8 (No Class on September 29 or Oct 1).

After participating in this series, you will:

• Increase your understanding of healthy eating concepts and health benefits associated with the Mediterranean-style eating pattern
• Increase your confidence in selecting, planning, preparing, and implementing a healthy, regular eating pattern
• Increase your understanding and implementation of mindful eating strategies

Curriculum: This series is based on the “Med Instead of Meds” curriculum, developed by NC State University. This curriculum emphasizes the benefits of the Mediterranean diet for long-term health and wellness.
