Picnic for Pages

Meet in Golden Gate Park (near the Conservatory of Flowers near the big block letters) for a silent reading and picnic. Bring a book and something to snack on!

Potluck theme: This is a literary-themed potluck. Bring dishes from cookbooks or reference iconic dishes from cookbooks, famous literary dishes, dishes shaped like books or bookworms. We’ll have a book-shaped cake!

Run of show:

• 12pm: Join us at the meetup location. Spread out on a blanket or chair.
• 12:15pm: Say hello, your neighborhood, and share the book you’re reading.
• 2pm: Wrap up

This event is part of the Summer Reading Challenge, a reading contest for readers 18+ hosted by Friends & Neighbors and Green Apple Books. Attend a Summer Reading Challenge event and get a stamp on your Mini Challenge Log, worth an additional hour.
