Four Landscapes is an opera in four parts for voice, field recordings and sine wave oscillators. Music by James Chrzan. Libretto by Rachel Hillery.
James Chrzan is an artist and musician whose work engages in the long history of the dematerialized art object. Rachel Hillery has a solo practice that spans photography, bookmaking, writing, and performance. In 2021, their first opera, Narcissus pseudonarcissus, was self-produced in Prospect Park’s Rose Garden with support from NYC’s City Artist Corps grant.
Parent Company is a non-profit 501(c)(3) artist-run exhibition space founded in 2023 by Ada Potter. The project seeks to equitably support artists through exhibition opportunities, public programs, and events. Exhibitions are free and open to the public.
