We’ll lead you through a hands-on journey touring three distinct German regions as you learn about their signature ingredients, traditional cooking methods, and styles of cuisine. Wines representing each region will be selected to pair with each course of the meal.
In this immersive class, you’ll prepare a delectable menu:
- Rhineland-style Potato Soup with German bread from the Bakery – Discover the hearty and comforting flavors of the Rhineland with this flavorful potato soup, a regional specialty often enjoyed with fresh, locally baked bread like roggenmischbrot (rye-wheat bread).
- Baked Ham-Wrapped Endives: Experience the unique sweet-sour flavor balance typical of Rhineland cuisine with this elegant dish, showcasing beautifully braised endives wrapped in ham and baked to perfection.
- Swabian-style Beef Tenderloin with Fried Onion Rings on Celeriac Mash: Master the art of preparing succulent beef tenderloin, a key element in hearty Swabian cuisine often paired with rich gravies. You’ll create crispy fried onion rings and a smooth, earthy celeriac mash to complete this flavorful main course.
