It’s time to celebrate gelato! In this class, you’ll observe as our Scuola Chef makes traditional gelato al pistachio, talks you through the unique differences between gelato and ice cream, teaches you the best methods to get high-quality gelato without an ice cream maker, and lets you taste a few of Eataly’s signature gelato flavors and compare to sorbet.

About this Dish:

While people often think gelato is simply Italian ice cream, there are distinct differences between the two. Gelato is mixed more slowly and has a lower fat percentage, making it denser, creamier, and richer in flavor. This decadent sweet treat is perfect any time of year or time of day.

In this Hands-On Class You Will:

• Learn about the traditions and methods of gelato

• Observe as our gelato maker teaches the group how to make gelato using multiple methods

• Enjoy traditional gelato al pistachio to savor the flavours of summer

Please Note:

• One ticket purchase is valid for one guest

• Seating is first-come, first-served

• Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes

• All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce a valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older. Non-alcoholic beverages are available.

• Classes are also suitable for children 5+ who are passionate about Italian cuisine. Under 15 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

• Please notify us 48 hours in advance if you have any dietary restrictions. If we are not notified ahead of time of any special needs, we may not be able to accommodate them. (Please note this dish contains pork)
