ABOUT THE GROWN-UPS

THE GROWN-UPS is a dark comedy about five friends adjusting to their new responsibilities as senior counselors at the wilderness camp they have called home every summer since they were kids. As if that’s not enough already, when a viral internet meme about a pineapple that looks like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson spirals WAY out of control, the twenty-somethings quickly become responsible for the fate of the campers they have sworn to protect.

Set around a campfire, the play explores what it means to grow up and take on new responsibilities when you’re underprepared and the world looks bleaker every day. Together, the counselors debate time-honored camp traditions, keeping the campers off their phones, and ultimately, what to do when the apocalypse reaches their backyard.

As an audience member, you will sit around the campfire among the actors as they immerse you in a world full of roasted marshmallows, spooky stories, and the unshakable feeling that you’re being watched by someone in the woods…

Tickets for this production are free of charge and are first come, first served! The house will open 30 minutes before the performance begins, so arrive early to secure the best seats.
