World Bear Weekend Fundraiser at Embassy Suites by Hilton Lexington/UK Coldstream – Lexington, KY

The organizers of World Bear Weekend are grateful for your support of our annual charity event over the last 6 years. As mentioned in our on-stage presentation during our 2024 event, despite financial challenges, we are determined to bring back the event in 2025 — but we need your help.

In 2018, our first year, we did not have enough attendees to meet our contractual obligations with the host hotel, resulting in a $25,000 loss. In 2021, just 5 days before our event, COVID cases in Memphis increased, causing 250 room nights and over 100 event passes to be canceled. Despite the hotel’s promise to help with the expenses, we are now being sued for the $22,000 owed. In 2022, we faced unexpected on-site expenses for extra electrical, wifi, and sound needs.
