From sunrise tributes to late-night jazz, join us in honouring Bird with music, storytelling, and unforgettable performances.

Celebrate the life and legacy of Charlie “Bird” Parker on Thursday, August 29 with a full day of music, history, and community.The festivities begin at 7:30 AM with a continental breakfast, followed by an 8 AM Salute at the Charlie Parker Sculpture featuring Dan Thomas and Lonnie McFadden. Morning and midday shuttles will take guests to Parker’s gravesite, with Jazz Storytelling at 10 AM and Jazz @ Noon featuring Delynia Jannell at 12 PM.The celebration continues into the evening with Indigo Hour at 5:30 PM and two spectacular Saxophone Summit performances at 8:30 PM & 10 PM, starring Brad Gregory, Houston Smith, and Dan Thomas.A day-long tribute filled with rhythm, soul, and the spirit of Bird.
