Live Concert celebration of Nina Simone
Join MusicTalks for a special concert celebrating the life, activism, and music of the great Nina Simone. Acclaimed Jazz vocalist Vanisha Gould will be joined by MusicTalks Jazz trio, together they will explore songs Nina Simone made famous, such as Feeling Good and Ain’t Got No, and will also highlight the groundbreaking contribution of Nina Simone to the civil rights movement using her art for activism. The performance will culminate with a tribute to the untold story of Simone’s years-long collaboration with Carlebach, the singing rabbi during the 70s.
