The story unfolds in the breakroom of a Hobby Lobby craft store in Boise, Idaho. Will, a reserved and devoutly religious man, begins a new job at the store. It quickly becomes evident that Will is not just there for work—he’s searching for his estranged teenage son, Alex, who also works at the store. Will’s arrival disrupts the delicate balance of the employees’ lives, and tension culminates in a raw confrontation between Will and Alex, forcing both characters to confront their shared pain and the limitations of their beliefs.

Hunter’s work masterfully combines humor and pathos, offering a poignant examination of humanity’s search for meaning in an increasingly alienating world.
