Stay With Album Listening Gathering – Saint Paul, MN

I am honored that this gathering will be hosted by Brake Bread. Please Join us at The Art House North to celebrate my new record, Stay With.

Stay With is a collection of sonic poems recorded over a four year time span beginning early in the pandemic of 2020. I spent many hours riding around on my bike recording sounds from the seasonal landscape of Saint Paul, where I live. Engineer Tom Herbers and I then manipulated these sounds into their own instruments, birds, water, trains, creaking trees, conversations, these sounds are the layers at the base of Stay With.

I’ve always been envious of people who write books because when someone reads a book, that is all they do. They just read it. I wanted to make an album that might be experienced in that same way, where like reading a book, you don’t do anything else. You just listen.

In keeping with this vision I hope you will join me to “just listen,” and gather at the time of year when we are meant to be together and share stories. We will listen to the album, share in conversation, and celebrate a few special guests who will be reading as part of this event.

Tickets for this event are pay what you can, with a suggested range of $15-$100. If you can give more I am incredibly grateful. It goes a long way towards supporting the greater scope of work.
