We’re getting back to our roots with Reggae Sunset, a post-work happy hour & party for reggae lovers in New York City! Tue Feb 25th at SOB’s, the city’s home of reggae since 1982.
Groove to dub, roots, rocksteady, fusion, and a splash of dancehall spun by the city’s top reggae DJs DJ Oneal, The Night Nurse, and DJ Star. Throughout the 80s-90s, S.O.B.’s was solidified as the Manhattan hubspot for reggae, with legends like Burning Spear, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, Toots and the Maytals, U-Roy, and the Marley Brothers (Stephen, Julian, Ziggy, and Damian) hitting the stage. SOB’s has remained the home of reggae in the city, with icons like Chronixx, Sister Nancy, Tarrus Riley, Kabaka Pyramid, Shaggy, Protoje, and more kickstarting their careers on the legendary stage.
