Danville, CA –  September 11 – December 11, 2025. Kriste Michelini Gallery is proud to present Lifted, a group exhibition featuring Bay Area women artists Kim Cardoso, Lisa Fleming, Susan McKinney, Jenny Phillips, and Janet Yano. The exhibition opens with an artist reception on Thursday, September 11, 5:30 – 7:30 PM, followed by a Champagne Open House on Saturday, September 13, 10 AM – 2 PM, and runs through December 11, 2025.

Lifted explores both physical suspension and emotional elevation. From floating geometric forms and monochromatic calm to subtle tension resolved in harmony, the exhibition captures the essence of uplift—physically, emotionally, and creatively. The gallery’s clean, modern presentation amplifies this experience, inviting visitors to pause and reflect.

Featured Artists & Works

Kim Cardoso’s “Glass Half Full”, encaustic, graphite, and oil pastel on birch. The work explores the circle as a container to hold or release, pushing and pulling between past and present, known and unknown, grief and joy.

Lisa Fleming – Elegant, wheel-thrown porcelain vessels emphasizing silhouette, line, and subtle dynamism, embodying balance and calm.

Susan McKinney – “Optical Tapestry”, modular wall pieces that harmonize with space and seem almost airborne, merging architecture, material, and wonder.

Jenny Phillips  – Layered mixed-media works using paper, thread, wax, and natural pigments that capture quiet tension and harmony.

Janet Yano – “Between Shadow and Light”, a series of 25 small 6×6″ watercolors, individually or as a 48×60″ grid, creating meditative spaces for reflection.
