Amina Scott QuintetAmina Scott is an upright and electric bassist, composer, and educator. Currently based in New Orleans, Amina has been a bassist for many musicians on the New Orleans music scene, as well as abroad. She has performed with artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Jazzmeia Horn, Chief Xian Atunde Adjuah, Don Vappie, David Murray, Johnny Vidacovich, Joanne Bracken, Nicholas Payton, Herlin Riley, and Germaine Bazzle.She was also part of the 2017 Ravinia Jazz Program cohort under the direction of Rufus Reid, Billy Childs, and Nathan Davis.Amina continues to forge her own path as a trailblazing artist, ranging from many musical influences, she is able to express her journey into Black womanhood and capture the trials and tribulations of her career thus far. While staying true to the musical lineage as well as herself, Amina is able to captivate audiences around the world with her music. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime. Due to our intimate venues limited seating capacity, advance tickets are strongly suggested in order to guarantee seats for this acclaimed show!
This event is 13 and over.
