Join us for an extraordinary concert pairing beautiful and soulful music, ranging from liturgical to secular background, performed by the MusicTalks chamber orchestra.
As we welcome the fall and the high holidays, Israeli cellist Elad Kabilio will share the story behind Max Bruch’s “Kol Nidre for Cello Solo and Orchestra,” a German Protestant composer’s who wrote the most famous Jewish piece in the classical genre. This piece breathed new life into one of the most sacred and beautiful prayers. The program will also feature music that explores the process of renewal, self-reflection, and rejuvenation, celebrating the new year and the changing seasons including Bloch’s beloved Nigun for Violin and orchestra, Klezmer music, Israeli songs, and the Beatles.
