At Saint Barnabas, we are proud to continue our tradition of great music, world-class soloists, and a commitment to this community’s cultural life.
All concerts are held in the beautiful sanctuary of Saint Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church, home of the Pritzlaff Memorial Pipe Organ. After each concert, a reception is held in the Joseph C. Lincoln Hall of the Gwen Harris Music Center.

The Salt River Brass, featuring our very own organist Michael Salazar, return to the Saint Barnabas stage with old favorites from Bach, Handel & Monteverdi as well as exuberant new creations from Sandy Smith and Philip Sparke.

Saturday, November 1| 4 pm – Benefit Concert of Remembrance
The Adult Parish Choir of Saint Barnabas will present a benefit concert of remembrance for our community with some of the most beloved anthems and hymns of choral music. Proceeds from this concert will go to providing scholarships for our choral members for the upcoming residency in England.
Saturday, December 13, 4pm: Lessons & Carols
An Advent tradition, come and enjoy choral favorites as we tell the story of Creation and prepare our hearts and minds for the upcoming season of Christmas. This concert is free of charge and all are welcome to enjoy an afternoon of great music making and wonderful readings.

Saturday, January 17, 4pm: Favorites from the Pipes
The first concert of 2026 will feature our Music Minister and Organist, Michael Salazar, as he presents some of the most beloved organ pieces as well as some newer compositions in this wonderful recital that is free of charge. A goodwill offering will be taken in support of the Music Department.

Saturday, February 14, 4pm: “Share the Love” Concert
Join us on Valentine’s Day as we offer an evening of music centered around love and care of one another. Enjoy choral classics with instrumental guests, musical theater favorites and operatic numbers all while enjoying a glass of wine and some delectable desserts. Note: this is a concert that will utilize multiple spaces on our campus and guests will travel from space to space!
Saturday, February 28, 3pm: Urban Nocturnes
The Phoenix-based chamber music ensemble Urban Nocturnes returns to Saint Barnabas for another thrilling exhibition of tremendous skill and harmonic collaboration. Pieces by Beethoven, Brahms and Scharwenka highlight this concert focused on 19th century Germanic greats.
Sunday, April 19, 4pm: Phoenix Brass Collective
The Phoenix Brass Collective are back on the Saint Barnabas stage by popular demand and will close their season in our beautiful Sanctuary. This large brass and percussion ensemble under the direction of Jeff Quamo has delighted Phoenix audiences for many years with their diverse repertoire ranging from classical gems to music from iconic movies and film.
Saturday, May 16, 4pm: Evensong
The Saint Barnabas Adult Parish Choir will present an Evensong service as a preview for their upcoming residency at the cathedral in Salisbury, England in July of 2026. Come and worship with us in our beautiful Sanctuary space as we send the choir off across the pond to spread their music abroad.
