FRIDAY OCTOBER 3: LAVAR WALKER at The Comedy Bar – Detroit, MI

After winning the 2012 National Miller Lite Stand Up comedy competition judged by Kevin Hart, comedian/writer LaVar Walker joined The Shaquille O’Neal All Star Comedy Jam, touring 42 markets and taping a Showtime special as well. In addition to this, he was a finalist for the NBC Diversity Showcase and advanced to the semifinals in NBC’s Last Comic Standing. His other credits include BET’s Comicview, The Mo’Nique Show, and Kevin Hart’s comedy special on the Laugh Out Loud network.

On the scripted front, he produced/ layed the lead in the comedy project, The Pharmacist, and can recently be seen as ‘Marty the Manager’ in the Summit Entertainment Feature Film, Uncle Drew.

COMEDY CLUB MAIN ENTRANCE LOCATED IN BACK OF BUILDING OFF OF PARKING LOT. Shows will be held on the lower level of The Norwood Theatre building.

— Most tables seat 4 total guests. You may be seated with strangers if your party has less than four guests.

— All shows are 17 and over. 21+ to drink.

—2-Item Minimum (soft drinks, beer, wine, and liquor)*

— 20% gratuity added to all checks.

— No dress code.

— Shows run about an hour and 15 minutes.

— Doors open 30 minutes prior to show-time. Arriving at least 15 minutes before the show is always a good idea!

— Seating is first come first serve with a strict no-call, no-show policy. Please call us if you are running late!

*The two-item minimum policy requires each guest to purchase a minimum of two items from our menu during their visit, this can include any combination of soft drinks or alcoholic beverages.
