Grant Flick, multi-instrumentalist, and Jacob Warren, double bass
The dynamic, multi-instrumental duo Warren & Flick will open our Green Guest Artist series this season, sharing tunes from their first three albums Kestrel, Waxwing and Commorant. Both graduates of the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, Warren won first prize in the 2023 International Society of Bassists Solo Competition, and in 2024 the duo was a finalist in the Concert Artists Guild Competition. This fall, the Creative School welcomes the ensemble to DePauw to present their original compositions and uniquely innovative blend of classical, jazz and folk traditions.
