The Broadleaf Writers Conference returns for it’s eleventh annual conference, September 19-20, 2026 at the Decatur Library in Decatur, Georgia! Featuring a schedule of sessions, workshops, pitch and mentoring sessions, and a 10-page critique, the Broadleaf Writers Conference is two days of education, inspiration, and community.
Our speaker list is coming together and will be announced in January 2026! Check back for updates, or sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date with the latest on the conference and more!
Take advantage early and save on registration! Now through Tuesday, September 30th, we’re running a pre-registration special that offers you both days at the one-day price!
INVEST IN YOU! Attending a writing conference is an opportunity to invest in yourself as a writer, to learn from experts, and to become a part of a community of writers that inspire, uplift and support one another!
With your registration, you will receive access to all sessions of the 11th Annual Broadleaf Writers Conference and you will be able to schedule a one-on-one with a literary agent or publisher rep! Additionally, we offer you the opportunity to schedule one-on-one mentoring sessions with an author or agent of your choice. This is great chance to learn more about writing and the publishing industry without the pressure of a pitch!
On Saturday, September 19th, we will once again present a First Pages Critique featuring a panel of agents and publishers representatives. Be sure to submit your first page prior to the conference in order to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to get your manuscript on the right path!
Thanks in large part to our experience conducting virtual conferences through the pandemic, we’re excited to offer a virtual component as well! For any reason that you may have, you can now choose to attend our in-person conference from your home! With a virtual registration, you still get the option to add a pitch session (these will be handled prior to, or after, the conference, depending on availability of the agent), attend any panel or workshop you would like, and ask questions during the Q&A portions of each session. As well, every paid attendee will receive complete recordings of all panels and workshops! So, no more missing sessions! You get to see them all!
If you would like a sample of how we handle the virtual feed to our conference, here’s our recording of the First Pages Critique from 2024.
If you’re coming from out of town, there are plenty of hotels in the area. We will once again offer a room block at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Decatur (2 blocks from the library). The rate offers you a considerable discount but rooms are limited, so be sure to book once it’s announced! We’ll have more information in late Spring 2026.
Broadleaf Writers maintains a strict Code of Conduct for all attendees and speakers. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our expectations.
