Messy Joy Club is a space to unleash your creativity in joyful community with other women who are in the process of unlearning the perfectionism that’s been holding them back.

Here, we:

Make art that’s imperfect, soulful, wildly original—or even just plain bad. Whether it’s painting, writing, dance, music, drama, or anything in between, all expressions are welcome.

Inspire one another to fall in love with the act of creating, instead of judging the outcome.

‍ ‍ Build deep, lasting connections that extend far beyond our bi-weekly gatherings.

Laugh—a LOT— because joy is our compass, not perfection.

How We Play:

BI-WEEKLY MAKER-SPACE

a cozy, fun hangout to be in community while we work on current projects—or dream up new ones together

CLUB WHATSAPP GROUP

a space to cheer each other on and plan spontaneous creative adventures (like wailing karaoke nights)

ANUAL BAD ART SHOW

a joy-filled celebration where we showcase our gloriously imperfect creations for the world to see!

What Makes This Club Different?

We Make Bad Art on Purpose

This isn’t about getting “better” at art—it’s about letting go and having fun with it. We celebrate the process, the mess, and the magic of making things just because it feels good.

The Fun Doesn’t End!

We stay connected between gatherings through our group chat and real-life hangouts—like spontaneous creative field trips and nights of karaoke chaos. The magic doesn’t end when the meet does.

We Cultivate Real Friendships

This is a space for us to show up as our full selves, and to see one another from a place of love. We’re here to make art, yes, but ultimately, this is a space to support, celebrate, and uplift one another in reclaiming our inner spark of joy. If you’re looking for a competition, this is not where you’ll find it.

Where your money goes…

Keeping the lights on– We’re fortunate to have a beautifully warm space to create in, but it does cost money to upkeep.

‍ ‍ The Brave Women’s Community Center– Any additional money goes toward building our nonprofit organization that supports and empowers women and girls who have experienced abuse, trauma, and societal conditioning.

If you don’t have the capacity to donate right now…

We never want money to be the reason someone can’t join. Even if you don’t have money give, your presence in our space and the love and creativity that you bring are worth more than gold.
