A reading and talk with award-winning poet, theologian, and conflict resolution mediator Pádraig Ó Tuama.

The Merwin Conservancy will present a reading and talk with award-winning poet, theologian, and mediator Pádraig Ó Tuama in partnership with the Honolulu Museum of Art. This program is part of The Merwin Conservancy’s series of popular arts and ecology literary events known as The Green Room.

Pádraig Ó Tuama (b. 1975 Cork, Ireland) is a poet with interests in conflict, language and religion. He presents Poetry Unbound from On Being Studios, and has published two anthologies (2022, 2025, both with WW Norton) from that podcast. In early 2025 Copper Canyon Press published Kitchen Hymns, his fourth poetry collection. A freelance artist, one of Ó Tuama’s projects is poet in residence with the Cooperation and Conflict Resolution Center at Columbia University. He splits his time between Belfast and New York City.

We will also reserve your event tickets and set aside a copy of Pádraig’s most recent book, arrange priority seating, and acknowledge your contribution at the event and on our website. Space is limited.

$8 for first three hours

$4 per hour thereafter

Non-residents (Out of State):

$12 for first three hours

$6 per hour thereafter

Seating begins 6:30pm, Program begins 7pm.
