Topic: Managing Risky Blind Spots
Abstract: Third-party dependencies often introduce vulnerabilities that remain hidden until they trigger disruption. This session explores how single points of failure can lurk beneath the surface of vendor relationships, cloud services, and supply chains—revealing the blind spots that security teams must proactively manage to safeguard resilience.
About the Speaker: As CISO and System Director of Cyber Wellness at Health First, Kim leverages her extensive experience in healthcare, financial and government industries to develop and implement strategy that aligns with the organization’s vision while delivering measurable results aimed at reducing risk to the organization. Areas of leadership and oversight in her current role include Information Security, GRC, Cybersecurity Engineering, Identity and Access Management and Security Operations. Kim is passionate about her role as sponsor of Health First’s Women in Engineering group, an initiative aimed at creating a supportive environment that encourages skill development, inspiration, and camaraderie, ultimately working towards attracting and retaining talented women in the field. Kim holds an MBA and BS in Computer Information Systems from Saint Leo University, and numerous certifications including CISSP, CISSP-ISSMP and HCISPP. Her leadership skills and technical acumen have been honed through progressive roles giving her a wealth of experience and knowledge highly respected in the field of cybersecurity.
